Shanghai Sunrise is a charitable program that facilitates one-to-one educational sponsorships to Shanghai's students living in poverty. According to government statistics, over 40,000 children in Shanghai cannot afford the fees and tuition associated with a public education. Shanghai Sunrise cooperates with the Shanghai Charity Foundation to locate these students and find sponsors in the Shanghai community to sponsor their education.

Shanghai Sunrise has a new program, the University Scholarship Program, designed for Shanghai Sunrise students who graduate high school and are accepted into university.

An in-venue promotion in June 2006 donated 10 RMB to Shanghai Sunrise for every sale of two of our best-selling menu items — the famous blue frog Montana Burger and KABB's Classic Cheesecake.

In September 2006, we provided catering services in the form of a barbeque at the annual Shanghai Sunrise picnic event, where Sunrise students and their sponsors were able to spend an afternoon getting to know one another.

In November 2009, a number of our staff attended the annual Shanghai Sunrise Pairing Ceremony, where we were were introduced to and paired up with our students. The half-day event allowed blue frog staff and our sponsored students to enjoy the day together learning about each other.
